Our knowledge and understanding of the potential environmental impact of our various raw materials is constantly evolving, as is legislation. So the process of reviewing and eliminating the use of hazardous materials is a continuous one.
Since hazardous chemicals are not used in our products, we remove the risk of chemicals finding their way into the environment as a result of our formulations. This also contributes to a safer working and living environment for our applicators and building occupants.
Green & Clean
All of our products are non toxic and completely free of VOCs. Our water borne chemistry Is simple to clean up and has virtually no odor.
Perfect for virtually any surface, Levario coatings create a seamless, highly flexible waterproof membrane that is easily sprayed, brushed, rolled, or troweled onto surfaces. Depending on thickness, temperature and humidity, drying time usually takes 24-48 hours.Each coating is applied cold, so protective equipment is not required during application. Levario products contain no noxious odors or VOCs - making all coatings environmentally safe. You can even use them in fish ponds.
Levario products do not get brittle over time, do not deteriorate with prolonged exposure to water, and are impervious to many chemicals. Our coatings have tremendous elasticity and recovery; they can handle the expansion and contraction of buildings. Levario coatings will not sustain flame and are UV resistant. These features make Levario products perfect for waterproofing and corrosion protection applications.
Volatile Organic Compounds
VOCs are carbon compounds that evaporate at room temperature and react in sunlight to form ground-level ozone, an integral component of photochemical smog. VOCs can cause respiratory, skin, and eye Irritation; headaches; nausea; muscle weakness; and more serious ailments and diseases, according to the EPA. Formaldehyde, a VOC commonly found in paint, is a probable carcinogen. The EPA has found that indoor concentrations of VOCs are regularly up to ten times as high as outdoor concentrations, and can climb up to a thousand times as high as outdoor concentrations when you are applying paint.
A major source of man-made VOCs are coatings, especially paints and protective coatings. Solvents are required to spread a protective or decorative film. Approximately 12 billion litres of paints are produced annually. Typical solvents are aliphatic hydrocarbons, ethyl acetate, glycol ethers, and acetone. Motivated by cost, environmental concerns, and regulations, the paint and coating industry are increasingly shifting toward aqueous solvents.
